This will also be THE FIRST ALL AGES / LICENSED SHOW to take place at Thunder Bay's NEWEST concert hot spot The Black Pirates Pub. The new venue is located down the alleyway between Scotia Bank and the Daily Grind Coffe shop (formerly Robins donuts) on Red River road.
The Saint Alvia Cartel are quickly becoming one of the quickest up and coming bands in the country. The band features former and current members of several very well known bands from the Southern Ontario music scene such as BOYSNIGHTOUT, THE VIDEO DEAD, JERSEY and Canadian hardcore legends GRADE!!! All in ONE band.
The Saint Alvia Cartel have performed in Thunder Bay twice in the past. Once with THE TOASTERS, THE FLATLINERS and THE PEACOCKS as part of the STOMP THE UNION tour last year and as the opening support for BEDOUIN SOUNDCLASH last year as well. 2 shows that were nothing but amazing from start to finish.
The sound the band puts forth is a very original blend of punk rock, rock n roll, reggae and much much more. Fans of everything from Hot Water Music, The Might Bosstones to Bruce Springsteen will love this band!! Rock n roll with tinges of indie, hardcore, punk, ska, reggae and MUCH more.

Yep.. here it is, the other announcement for you all.
Cryptopsy's new singer and material might be taking everyone for a little curve but essentially its still Cryptopsy and its still Flo fucking Mounier and they will be playing a lot of old shit on the tour so anyone that wants to add "their new CD is gay" or whatever, stay home and be elite. Those that want to witness pure fucking brutality, come on out. And I actually heard the whole new CD and its hardly bad by any standards. "Worship your demons" on the myspace site is SICK.
Obviously the main attraction for many is going to be ORIGIN and thats no secret, they are easily in the top 5 or maybe even top 3 extreme metal bands on the planet and they deserve an audience. It hasnt fully set in yet that I just booked this band and when it does, Ill likely do a standing back flip which will likely end up with me in the hospital or something.
The Last Felony are going to knock people's shit right in. Fans of Quebec tech/death stuff will LOVE this band. There's a link at the bottom, I strongly advise checking them out before hand. You will not be disappointed at all.
Last time around I lost a fair share on Cryptopsy but I honestly feel that the metal community is stronger now and anyone that wants to help out with this show is welcomed to do so on their own accord. Please leave any and all facebook event pages to me for now though.

Left Spine Down (Vancouver) will be stopping in Thunder Bay on their Cross-Canada tour. LSD features members of Frontline Assembly, and ex-Black Halos. Danko motherfucking Jones will be rocking Thunder Bay for the first time since opening for Andrew WK at Coyotes a long time back. Danko Jones is one of the greatest rock shows on the planet and has never in his entire career let an audience down whether it was 10 people in a bar or 35,000+ at a european festival. This guy is HUGE in Europe, fairly big in the US but he has yet to completely conquer his own home country.
With him will be some tour support but it has yet to be determined who that will be but this is Danko Jones so you can be assured that any band he chooses to tour with him will be a kick ass rock band as well. Locally the bands chosen for this bill of the 6 bands submitted are ROCK TRUCK, MONEY HONEY and JORDANA DIVINORUM. Local bands are being given 25 min sets and its preferred that gear be shared wherever possible.
This will be a solid fucking rock show and anyone that enjoys a good solid bunch of rock n roll should ensure to be at this show front and center!!!

Summer always means metal shows a plenty and this summer is already shaping up with some good ones.
Neuraxis is easily one of the most amazing death metal bands around. They play a mix of thrash, death, grindcore and maybe a little mathy type stuff at times. They also happen to put on one hell of a live show. Some of you might not have heard of Willowtip records so that link was needed but I am guaranteeing that everyone on here has heard of Relapse Records and know the amazing roster of bands that it boasts.
Many of us, likely most of us around these parts have seen both of these bands in the past and can say that they put on an amazing live show.
