I couldn't be more excited to announce that tonight at 10pm on L.U. Radio, the debut album by Thunder Bay's Makeshift Astronaut will be played in its entirety for the first time anywhere.
Makeshift Astronaut are one of this town's most criminally under-celebrated and under-appreciated bands. No one sounds like these guys. They occupy a space in rock and roll all their own. Do yourself a solid and tune in to "The After Hours" tonight at 10pm, and have your brain blown apart. The album is just under an hour long, and is full of guitars drenched in outerspace goop, shifting textures and all out rocking. If you enjoy hallucinagens, you may wish to imbibe, as this record will surely fling you into the outer regions. Hell, you don't even need anything extra - this is one of those albums that you keep coming back to. It's so full of ear-candy, slowly revealing itself with every listen.
