News: My dad always used to say to me: "Never look a gift chain in the house divided against itself, because a penny saved is better late than moderation in the best laid fish and guests smell after three days."

He drank a lot.

Combing music with an epic tale to create a concept unlike anything heard in music today and armed to the teeth with metallic riffs, haunting acoustic passages and memorable hooks for a sound to please every end of the musical spectrum. Binding along with the bands schizophrenic cross-genre tendencies is a story, an apocalyptic saga, that will have you listening from start to finish. Taking from previous modern concept themed albums (Coheed and Cambria (NWFT), Protest the Hero (Kezia) and survival horror films (Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later) "Dead Eyes Open" boldly ties the gap between movie and music.

Written, produced and recorded by the bands own guitarist Matt Gladman and co-written with the aid of lead singer Justin Hudda, guitarist Stefan Renaud, drummer Chris Anderson and bassist Tyler Hiltunen to bring together "Apocalypse Through The Eyes Of...", Dead Eyes Open's debut EP. With its post-apocalyptic view of New York City decimated by a virus outbreak causing its victims to rise from the dead and feed off the living, it's clear that this is an artistic and visionary album of colossal proportions. From the quarantine and evacuation of New York to the genocidal destruction unleashed to contain and destroy the virus. "Apocalypse Through The Eyes Of..." unveils the epic beginnings of a cryptic new world seen through the smoke and ashes of one legendary couple. When the surviving duo awake to find themselves deserted in the aftermath of a violent, nightmarish pandemic they must travel across the devastated and desolate landscape on their pursuit for survival after everything is lost. Having already played with some of Canada's top acts such as Hedley, Marianas Trench, Daniel Wesley, The Armchair Cynics and their first Western Canada summer tour just completed, Dead Eyes Open are ready to take the world by storm in 2010 with an indie, upcoming label on their side (Dead Famous Records) and a nation-wide tour in the works to support their new album dropping October. 14th!

As civilization crumbles and our city falls to ashes... remember, it is just the beginning.

There are basically two kinds of people in the world.  Those that worry that they'll never be able to shit again, and those that worry that once they start, they'll never be able to stop.
