Looking for a last minute gift idea? Need some extra stocking stuffers?

Come on out to Kilroy s on Wednesday, Dec 23 and shop til you drop.

All you favorite local bands will bring their merch out, t shirts, cd s etc to help fill our your xmas buying needs.

You can come out early (doors open at 7) and shop til you drop. And groove to amazing tunes for the rest of the night. Also, feel free to send your parents Tongue

This is also going to be a family friendly event for the early part. Where some kids from some of the t bay music scene are invited to take the stage, or hang out and see what mom or dad does.

Cover is FREE.

Every band that has merch is welcomed to come to this. Send me a quick not as we will try to layout table space for everyone. Your band doesn t have to play to sell merch, but you can if you want to. The way this is really going to work is if everyone participates. You have merch, let s move it!!! Besides, who can t use a lil extra cash for x mas?

Also if you can t make it, you can drop your stuff off, and we ll have a 'house' table to sell your stuff for you on consignment. If you have merch from a band that is defunct, I am pretty sure some 'vintage' stuff might go over too.

If you won t be in town, drop off the stuff you want to move, make sure you leave us a list price, and I ll set up a 'house' table and we ll sell it on consignment.

Also, I should add, I m sure there s probably some merch sitting out there from bands that don t exist out there. If those were to make their way out, you never know eh?

There may be some people that wanted to get merch from x or y band that aren t around anymore. I m sure some vintage stuff might go over well...

So this is coming along nicely. Please let me know if you want your band to sell merch or play this show.

In the between time, I thought I d throw this out.

Miles, our 6 year old last night decides to start singing an x mas song. Of course, he sees mom drop me off at Kilroy s or other venues when we have a show, and of course, he wants to be part of it all too. He really likes the sound board too. And he loves Jordan (of the other colour) because his drums are red! He requests Mudmen, Class War Kids, ROTM, Iron Maiden, All Else Fails when we go on road trips. When we go to Kap later this month, he ll be introduced to Bottom Rockers, Amelia and other local acts that we ve picked up or going to pick up a CD from.

Anyways, I was thinking that before 7 pm, it might be fun to 'bring out our kids' and let them do a song or something (if there s other moms or dads out there that might want to participate). Particularly looking at the dads of kids in Miles' class..lol.. I guess the idea is if 4 or 5 parents want to bring their kid(s) out to do a song or something, we could start it at 6 30 or even 6 and let the kids have a little bit of fun too.

It is a no cover night, all ages, so this could be a pretty fun family type show for the first little part, then we can age it up as the night goes. Heck, we could even get a Santa involved or what have you and turn it into an x mas party for the families of T bay s music community!

Any thoughts, comments, participants? Let me know.
Cheers
JL

I like how this is turning into a family christmas event.

I'm not gonna be in town but I have a whole distro that I'm trying to get rid of plus a shit load of ROTM crap. If someone wants to sell some distro stuff (about 100 records and CD's) I'll give you a cut and some records.
