So this line-up does have something to offer you! Does LU Radio have anything to offer you? Because this is a benefit show for LU Radio and this city needs for CILU Radio to thrive, the only station in Thunder Bay that is neutral to ALL different kinds of music and the biggest supporter of local music in the city. This line-up is the best we could come up with at this particular point in time to reflect some of the musical diversity Thunder Bay has to offer. This show is going to be nothing short of awesome!! This needs to stop now!!! Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and outlooks concerning this show, and that's cool, but this is a benefit show for CILU Radio and as musicians and music fans we are all a part of a bigger whole called the musical community of Thunder Bay, and this is what the purpose of this show is intended to support. Whether you like or don't like, support or don't support the venue, the musicians or bands partaking in this event, please keep in mind that this is a benefit show for a station (CILU Radio) that supports ALL the bands and music not only on this bill but All the bands and music this city has to offer and the venues that allow these bands to perform and get their music heard! This is a time to unite, NOT divide!!! Franz |

Yes, Zed is absolutely right. CILU radio needs and deserves our support. There has never been a decent radio station in this town EVER until CILU got on the air.
They play all sorts of varieties of music. Not just metal and punk. So therefore, the show is definitely cool with having a variety of acts that are not punk or metal.
I am in discussion with CILU about putting on a different fundraiser show (at BPP) with metal and punk bands to support the metal and punk programming on CILU.
So there is absolutely no reason to get upset about this. We all should support all of the various aspects of CILU because if it goes away, not only does the indie programming go away, but the metal and punk programming goes away as well. There will be opportunity to support the metal and punk parts of it, just as there are opportunities to support the indie aspects of the station.

but the fact is that if this bill had bands on it that i cared to see,
i would be game.
i'm sure i can see man garden at another time, not at the outpost.
CILU is the only station worth listening to in thunderbay.
but lets face it, i don't even listen to radio ever.
i'm sure, however, that this show will draw a crowd and you will make some dough.

I am talking to CILU and BPP about putting on a fundraiser there with only metal and punk bands, like typical Baycore shows. Once I get a solid date, I'll post it. If you don't want to go to the Outpost, go to the other fundraiser instead. If you don't want to go to the punk/metal show, go to the Outpost one. Or go to both. As long as you support CILU radio, that's all that counts.
There is no reason for anyone to start ranting about this show.
Support CILU radio and CILU radio will support you.
Yeah, the Outpost isn't our favourite venue but I think you are missing the fact that it is on LU property, just as CILU is. Therefore, it is very natural for a CILU fundraiser to be held there.
